Amma’s Pickles (“we”, “us”) operates the Amma’s Pickles website and mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect when you book laundry services, how we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated 6 October 2026.

What we collect

• Phone number — used to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP) and to contact you about your booking.
• Name and pickup address — so our delivery partner can collect and return your clothes.
• Location (optional) — if you allow it, we use your device location once to fill in your address. We do not track you in the background.
• Order details — the items you book, pickup slot, prices, payment status and any notes or reviews you leave.
• Payment information — online payments are processed by Razorpay or your UPI app. We never see or store your card number, bank password or UPI PIN. We keep only the payment reference and amount.
• Push notification token — if you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous delivery address so we can send order updates. You can turn it off any time from Profile.
• Device and usage data — language preference, items in your cart and your chosen pickup slot are stored on your device to make the app faster.

How we use it

• To provide the service: schedule pickups, clean and return your clothes, collect payment and send you status updates.
• To send OTP messages through our SMS provider (MSG91) when you sign in.
• To notify you about order status, offers and announcements, only if you enabled notifications.
• To respond when you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone.
• To prepare internal reports such as bookings per day and busiest areas.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with: our delivery partners (name, phone, address and items for your booking), Razorpay (payment processing), MSG91 (OTP SMS), Google (push notification delivery and map services), and our hosting provider. These partners may only use your data to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for accounting purposes. Push notification tokens are deleted when you turn notifications off or when they stop working. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time using the contact details below; we will complete the request within 30 days unless we must keep a record by law.

Your choices

• Location, notifications and camera permissions can be changed in your device or browser settings.
• You can update your name and address from Profile.
• You can ask for a copy of your data or its deletion by contacting us.

Children

Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in uses OTP codes, and admin access is password protected. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us immediately if you suspect a problem with your account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
